I’d like to blog about playing through an RPG series in it’s (core) entirety. No spinoffs (however good they may be) and the series needs at least 3 installments.
Final Fantasy is an obvious choice, but at 15 titles (13 if I exclude the MMOs) this would be a grand undertaking for the first series.
Baldur’s Gate is the game that caused me to think of this idea, so I am leaning toward this as the first series.
Dragon Quest is another Final Fantasy-esque massive undertaking.
Deus Ex is a game I’ve never played.
Mass Effect is highly rated but I’ve never touched this one either.
Breath of Fire is a classic Capcom-made RPG from the 1990’s.
Tales- is a series that is disconnected like Final Fantasy and I’ve always wanted to play ever since Tales of Phantasia was denied a US port on the SNES.
Ultima is another classic but I may need to skip the first few because I’m not entirely sure I can play them.
The Witcher is a more recent series that I found interesting after watching the Henry Cavill series.
I’m open to other ideas, but I have some limitations;
1. the series needs at least 3 core installments. I won’t be playing spinoffs.
2. the titles need to be playable on PC. I don’t mind using emulators, but I won’t be buying a PS4/5 or Xbox to play these.
